Details of the finished garage. I had never intended to have a solid roof on the garage, but because of time constraints, I had to just do a suggestion of the rafters. It serves the main function of finishing off the top edges of the walls.

The small platform stage right, whose face was detailed to look like a low stone wall, was used in the show as an isolated area for the young people who wrote letters from all over the country, asking for Edwina's advice.

The small platform stage right, whose face was detailed to look like a low stone wall, was used in the show as an isolated area for the young people who wrote letters from all over the country, asking for Edwina's advice. Since they technically were not in the back yard as they spoke or sang their letters, we needed an area where we could isolate them in light. This area also had to be useful as part of the backyard in the rest of the play.
